Working with Watercolor

In the past few months, I have picked up watercolor brushes and paints. Oh what fun it is. I did lots of fun watercolors when I was a kid and this time I'm going the professional route with materials. I'm loving how the colors interact with one another on paper, to practice different brush strokes and to layer color. I'm finding different types of paper texture since it becomes part of the painting. I was so timid about using water color, as I thought mistakes were final. But I've learned how to "erase" them and continue on. Often it's our own minds and preconceived notions that block us from trying new things. I'm glad ventured a little further.
